Shane Speal's
National Cigar Box Guitar Museum Collection

The National Cigar Box Guitar Museum contains over 70 instruments
plus historical documents, photos, ephemera and plans from the Mid-1800's to today. The project is a labor of love for Shane Speal, the self proclaimed King of the Cigar Box Guitar, and is probably the largest collection of primitive cigar box instruments in the world.

The museum is currently under curation and not open to the public, although we have taken it on the road for special concerts and events.  We are trying to find a permanent location in the vicinity of York, Pennsylvania.
If you are interested in exhibiting the whole collection (or an overview of the finest pieces), please contact Shane Speal at cigarboxguitar@yahoo.com.

Thanks to "Uncle" Ted Crocker, we now have a Flickr photo collection of the instruments.  You can view them all at UNCLE TED'S FLICKR PAGE
